    Man, 20, fatally struck by train after argument near Elmhurst Ave: NYPD

    ELMHURST, Queens (PIX11) – A 20-year-old was fatally struck by a train near the Elmhurst Avenue station Monday morning after an argument with a teenager, according to the NYPD.

    The 20-year-old was pronounced dead just after 11 a.m. after being struck by a northbound train on the M and R line, according to the NYPD.

    Police said there was an altercation between the 20-year-old and an 18-year-old before he was struck by the train. It was not immediately clear whether the 20-year-old fell or was pushed, according to the NYPD.

    The 18-year-old was taken to an area hospital, police said.

    The incident caused severe delays on the E, F, M and R lines, according to New York City Transit. E and F trains are running on the local track from Jackson Hts-Roosevelt Av to Forest Hills-71 Av.
