WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, Manhattan (PIX11) — Law enforcement continues to search for a suspect in connection to a fatal wrong-way crash on Henry Hudson Parkway Saturday that claimed the life of a man who was supposed to get married just a day later.

Kirk Walker, 38, was killed after a wrong-way truck driver crashed into the car he was in around 2:20 a.m. on the Henry Hudson Parkway, according to the NYPD. Another man in the car with Walker, 40-year-old Rob McLaurin, was also killed during the crash, police said.

The truck also hit another vehicle, injuring the driver and a 28-year-old passenger, police said. The driver of the truck fled after the crash.

Mayor Eric Adams addressed the incident Tuesday, calling on New Yorkers to share information that could lead to an arrest.

“We are going to find the person involved. I am going to put $1,000 of my own personal money to call for the arrest and conviction of this person. That family is devastated,” Adams said. “They want to do a ceremony at the site. We will do everything we can to bring them closure, apprehend the person, and allow the family to have some form of closure at the site where this incident took place.”

Submit tips to police by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477), visiting crimestoppers.nypdonline.org , downloading the NYPD Crime Stoppers mobile app, or texting 274637 (CRIMES) then entering TIP577. Spanish-speaking callers are asked to dial 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
