Construction to cause closures to parts of the Lincoln Tunnel in NYC and NJ

NEW YORK (PIX11) – Parts of the Lincoln Tunnel will be closed this week.

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey advised all travelers to check for street, lane, and service changes between Tuesday and Thursday.

The following areas of the Lincoln Tunnel will be affected:

• From 11 p.m. Tuesday to 5 a.m. Wednesday, the center tube will be closed. New York-bound traffic in the south tube and New Jersey-bound traffic in the north tube will not be affected.
• From 11 p.m. Wednesday to 5 a.m. Thursday, the north tube will be closed. New Jersey-bound traffic will be redirected to the center tube. New York-bound traffic in the south tube will not be affected.
• Vehicles approaching from Tenth Avenue must use the right lane on 40th Street for tunnel access to New Jersey.
