NYPD investigates Queens robbery pattern involving USPS mail keys

QUEENS, N.Y. (PIX11) — The NYPD is searching for suspects in connection to a robbery pattern involving United States Postal Service mail keys in Queens.

Police believe the same suspects were involved in two separate incidents on August 21 and 22.

The first incident happened around 11:19 a.m. at 102-35 64 Road on Wednesday, August 21. The suspects approached a 48-year-old man, told him they had a gun, and simulated a weapon, police said.

They punched the victim multiple times in the face, took USPS truck keys and mailbox keys, and fled in a black sedan.

The second incident happened around 1:27 p.m. near 166 Street and 76 Road on Thursday, August 22.

The suspects approached a 51-year-old man, demanded mail keys, and simulated a weapon, according to the NYPD. They took the keys and fled in a red sedan.

The NYPD released surveillance images of the suspects and the vehicles.
