    Man shot multiple times inside Brooklyn NYCHA complex: NYPD

    BROWNSVILLE, Brooklyn (PIX11) – A man was shot inside a Brooklyn NYCHA complex Sunday night, according to the NYPD.

    The shooting happened inside the Seth Low Houses on 157 Belmont Ave. in Brownsville around 9:30 p.m. A 37-year-old man was shot multiple times in the back and neck, according to authorities.

    He was taken to Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center by EMS. Multiple police cruisers and ambulances were seen lined outside of the complex, video posted to Citizen App showed.

    Police described the suspect as a man around 5’4″ wearing all black clothing. He was last seen fleeing the scene on Powell Street, according to authorities.

    It’s not known if the victim and suspect know each other, per police.
