    9/11 Tribute in Light to light up NYC sky: When and how to watch

    NEW YORK (PIX11) – The Tribute in Light will once again shine in New York City to honor those who died in the Sept. 11 terror attacks 23 years ago.

    Two blue beams, consisting of 88 high-powered xenon lightbulbs and positioned to echo the Twin Towers, will rise 4 miles into the sky in Lower Manhattan from dusk until dawn on Sept. 11, according to the 9/11 Memorial & Museum .

    The Tribute in Light can be viewed as far as 60 miles away.

    “They remind us of those we lost, those we miss still today. They also remind us of the resilience of this city and the aftermath of the attacks,” Josh Cherwin, with the 9/11 Memorial & Museum, previously told PIX11 News.

    Weather permitting, the Tribute in Light will be streamed on PIX11.com on Wednesday, Sept. 11.
