    Man fatally shot in the face and back in the Bronx: NYPD

    BRONX, N.Y. (PIX11) – A man was found shot and left for dead in the Bronx Wednesday morning, according to the NYPD.

    Officers from the 46 precinct responded to a 911 call of a person shot at East 180th Street and Creston Avenue at 7:33 a.m. Upon arrival, police found 32-year-old Rafael Vasquez, authorities said.

    Vasquez was unconscious and unresponsive. Police say the victim had multiple gunshot wounds to the face and back. EMS also responded and took Vasquez to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he later died, police said.

    No arrests have been made, and an investigation remains ongoing.
