    90-minute delays on George Washington Bridge: Port Authority

    NEW YORK (PIX11) – There were 90-minute delays on the George Washington Bridge’s upper level due to a crash on the Cross Bronx Expressway Monday morning, according to Port Authority .

    A disabled tractor-trailer previously cited for causing delays has since been cleared from the roadway. Delays on the upper level were down to 30 minutes , Port Authority said.

    Cars and buses are encouraged to use the lower level of the bridge, but that also saw disruptions due to the Cross Bronx crash, according to Port Authority. Those delays were up to 60 minutes but went down to 30 minutes .

    Drivers heading to and from Manhattan also saw severe delays in the Lincoln Tunnel last week due to multiple crashes, officials said. There were 90-minute delays in the tunnel’s south tube.
