2 men shot near basketball court in Brooklyn: NYPD

SHEEPSHEAD BAY, Brooklyn (PIX11) – Two men were shot near a basketball court in Brooklyn Sunday night, according to the NYPD.

It happened on Nostrand Avenue in Sheepshead Bay around 11:30 p.m. A 33-year-old man was shot twice in the leg and a 37-year-old man was shot once in the leg, police said.

Two suspected gunmen allegedly got out of a black vehicle near Avenue X and Harring Street and fired shots toward the court, sources told PIX11 News. They then got back in the car and fled the scene going eastbound on Avenue X, according to sources.

NYPD officers were seen putting down evidence markers at the crime scene, according to video posted to Citizen App .

The victims were taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health.
