GILGO BEACH, N.Y. (PIX11) – The Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office is expected to release new information in the ongoing Gilgo Beach murders investigation during a press conference on Monday, according to reports.

Suffolk County District Attorney Ray Tierney told Newsday that authorities now have more detailed images of a man of Asian descent whose remains were found off Ocean Parkway in 2011. The man was dressed in women’s clothing, according to Tierney.

Investigators believed he could’ve been a sex worker killed years earlier and was between the ages of 17 and 23. A victim sketch was initially released, but using modern technology, authorities now have more accurate imaging, Tierney told Newsday.

Tierney hopes that someone recognizes the victim, given the lack of Asian DNA in U.S. databases, Newsday reported.

The Gilgo Beach investigation task force is also set to give updates. Rex Heuermann, the prime suspect, has been charged in the killings of at least six women.

The 61-year-old architect has pleaded not guilty.

The news conference will be held at 10 a.m.
