    MTA installs bus lane cameras on 20 more routes: Here’s where

    NEW YORK (PIX11) – More bus lanes in New York City are getting automated camera enforcement , according to the MTA.

    Drivers caught on camera blocking bus stops or lanes on 10 routes will start to receive warning notices for a 60-day period beginning on Sept. 16. After that, violators will get summonses starting at $50.

    Fines can increase to up to $250 for repeat offenders.

    These are the routes where drivers will start getting warnings starting on Sept. 16:

    Ten more routes will be added to the MTA’s bus lane enforcement starting in two weeks.

    These are the routes where drivers will start getting warnings starting on Sept. 30:

    • B82 SBS
    • Q53 SBS
    • M86 SBS
    • M79 SBS
    • M60 SBS
    • B25
    • Q5
    • Q69
    • Bx6 SBS
    • B26

    The MTA began ticketing drivers blocking or double parking at bus stops along 14 routes on Aug. 19. The new additions expand bus lane enforcement from 14 to 34 routes.

    By the end of the month, 1,000 buses will be equipped with the new technology, according to the MTA.
