BRONX, N.Y. (PIX11) – The intersection of Kingsbridge Road and Kingsbridge Terrace now holds another name, Nicholas Otoniel Feliz Dominici Way, in honor of the 1-year-old baby who died last year after being exposed to fentanyl.

Dominici was one of four babies poisoned by fentanyl at a daycare center in the Bronx last September, according to U.S. Attorney Damian Williams. The daycare was also housing an illegal fentanyl operation, Williams said.

The new street sign was revealed Sunday, one year after the young boy died. Following the reveal of the new memorial street sign loved ones held a candlelight vigil and mass.

“No family should ever face such horrors and we must protect children and families from these drugs that have no place on our streets, schools, or daycare centers,” said Representative Adriano Espaillat in June, after a second man pleaded guilty to charges related to the death.

Felix Herrera Garcia and Renny Antonio Parra Paredes have both pleaded guilty to charges including conspiracy to distribute narcotics, prosecutors said. The two are accused of keeping over 10 kilograms of narcotics hidden under the daycare’s playroom, prosecutors said.

“This case shocks the conscience of the City,” Williams said.

How unfortunate that he had to have a street named after him bc of the carelessness of people who were supposed to care for him. May he continue to Rest In Peace. Just sad this beautiful child didn’t get to make his mark on the world. 🙏🙏🙏🙏 to the family still dealing with this tragedy.
