Woman, 88, suffers facial fractures during attempted robbery in Brooklyn: NYPD

SUNSET PARK, Brooklyn (PIX11) – An 88-year-old woman suffered facial fractures and other injuries at the hands of two attempted robbery suspects in Brooklyn over the weekend, police said.

The NYPD released photos of the suspects, a man and a woman, on Tuesday. They’re accused of trying to pull the victim’s purse off her on 50th Street in Sunset Park around 4 p.m on Sunday.

The woman fell to the ground during the attack. She was taken to a hospital for treatment of facial fractures and damage to her teeth, police said.

The suspects, who had scooters, took off without the victim’s property, police said.
