Woman pushed onto L train subway tracks in Brooklyn: NYPD

BUSHWICK, Brooklyn (PIX11) — A woman was pushed onto the subway tracks at the Jefferson Street station in Brooklyn Thursday morning, police said.

The 62-year-old woman was waiting for the L train a little before 6 a.m. when she was approached by a man for a lighter, sources told PIX11 News. When she ignored him, the man pushed the woman off the platform, sources said.

A fellow commuter immediately jumped in to help and pulled the woman back onto the platform, police said. She was taken to the hospital with an ankle injury.

Police said they’re looking for a man in his 30s, who is about 6 feet tall with a ponytail. He was last seen wearing a dark orange hoodie.
