    NYC Public Schools hiring for food service jobs with upcoming interviews

    NEW YORK (PIX11) – If you can stand the heat you could be in the kitchen for New York City Public Schools.

    The agency is hiring for school lunch helpers ranging from entry to senior level and will host four in-person interviews starting in September.

    In-Person Interview Dates

    • Oct.19
    • Nov.16
    • Dec.14

    Responsibilities for school lunch helpers include food preparation and distribution, cleaning and sanitizing kitchen areas, accepting and organizing deliveries, and operating in-house computers.

    Food service jobs with NYC Public Schools offer part time employment with full benefits including medical coverage, sick days, paid holidays, and retirement plans.

    NYC job fair to offer on-the-spot interviews

    Those interested in attending an interview session must apply online using the agency’s Applicant Scheduling Assistant. Everyone who applies will be given an in-person interview date.

    All in person interviews will take place at 44-36 Vernon Boulevard in Long Island City from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

    I worked in the kitchen happy I moved on 21 years and decided to move on they count it as half so instead of 21 they said being it was part time it counted for 11 years not worth it
