EMS responded and transported 21 students and two teachers to Montefiore Hospital. They were expected to be OK.

It remains unclear how the pepper spray was discharged. Pepper spray is legal for anyone 18 and older to carry in New York, according to the law.

this happened to me when I was a young lil lion cub.b4 it was outlawed my mom brought me one for protection. one of my classmates asked to see it. against better judgment, I allowed him to hold it. The next thing I knew, he sprayed it in class... of you know I got suspended for 2 weeks. my mom was livid, and my punishment mimicked a J sentence. 1-3 months confinement, no "friends" allowed to visit, and no calls. she said they could see me in school and talk to me there... I 💙 Mom.
