Police officer accused of assault and falsifying records: Bronx DA

BRONX, New York (PIX11) – An NYPD police officer was charged in connection with two separate incidents, according to the Bronx district attorney clerk.

Kenny Victoria, a 34-year-old officer with the 44th precinct in the Bronx, is accused of assaulting a suspect with a police radio and for lying on behalf of another officer who hit a motorcyclist with a patrol car.

Court documents show Victoria was a passenger in a patrol car with another officer when they crashed into a motorcyclist in Dec. 2023 in Claremont. At the time, the biker was arrested and Victoria allegedly filed a report saying the motorcyclist was doing a wheelie and drove into the police vehicle, according to the clerk.

Investigators say they later found surveillance video that shows the police car sped up and turned into the motorcyclist when he was entering an intersection.

In a second incident, Victoria allegedly hit a suspect in the head with his police radio during an arrest in April, the Bronx district attorney says. The man was taken to the hospital where he received staples in his head to stop the bleeding.

Victoria faces multiple charges including falsifying business records, assault, attempted offering of a false instrument, offering a false instrument for filing, and official misconduct.
