Spotify not working: Thousands report outage

NEW YORK (PIX11) — Thousands reported a Spotify outage Sunday morning, according to Downdetector .

Just after 11 a.m. Sunday, over 12,000 people reported Spotify was not working properly. Reports of an outage kept climbing early Sunday afternoon. By 1 p.m., reports of outages had dropped to just over 2,000, according to Downdetector.

Around 1:30 p.m., Spotify said its services were “looking much better,” but Spotify’s support website still reported its app and website still were not “quite right.”

By late Sunday afternoon, Spotify announced that issues were fixed for all users.

Spotify first addressed the issues around 12 p.m.

“We’ve been getting some reports that Spotify is down across platforms. The Support Site looks affected as well. We’re currently aware of the situation and the relevant teams are working on it,” said representatives of Spotify.

Problems were reported on both the app and website. Users on social media said songs would not play past a couple of seconds.

Spotify on Friday said it was having issues with its website and app.
