    Delays over an hour on George Washington Bridge after debris spill

    NEW JERSEY (PIX11) – A disabled truck caused severe delays Monday morning on the George Washington Bridge.

    Drivers can expect delays of over 60 minutes on the upper George Washington Bridge and closer to 45 minutes on the lower, according to the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.

    A truck tried to make it through the toll plaza, became disabled then caused a debris spill. The incident closed all inbound upper-level lanes. Lanes reopened by around 7 a.m. but severe delays remain.

    At its peak, delays reached over 90 minutes.
