The suspect is somehow connected to the victim, and there was apparently an ongoing feud.

The victim, 51-year-old Glen Cove resident Ana Ruth Espinoza, was ambushed in the parking lot and fatally stabbed, according to police. Espinoza’s husband tried to stop the attack and suffered a cut to his hand, police said.

Police identified the suspect as 27-year-old Glen Cove resident Erick Efren Corado Gonzalez.

Police arrested Gonzalez Sunday in Linden, New Jersey. Charges against him are still pending.
