    ‘Imagination’: Spirit Halloween and NRF release 2024 costume trends

    NEW YORK (PIX11) – Halloween is just around the corner in New York City.

    As New Yorkers gear up for the spooky season , Spirit Halloween and the National Retail Federation released their costume trends for 2024 on Thursday.

    “Halloween isn’t just a holiday – it’s all about where each person’s imagination can take them, and we can’t wait to see how our fans take these trends and make them their own this year,” Spirit Halloween CEO Steven Silverstein said. “Halloween fans visit Spirit Halloween year after year because they can find the hottest looks of the season – and our selection for 2024 will not disappoint.”

    Spirit Halloween predicts that Marvel fans will grab Deadpool and Wolverine costumes while Pixar fans will dress up as characters from “Inside Out 2.”

    For the latest movie release, a resurgence of Micheal Keton’s character Beetlejuice will be loose on the streets come Halloween night.

    The Mob Wife aesthetic popularized on TikTok is also expected to be seen this spooky season.

    The Nation Retail Federation , the largest retail trade association that releases forecasts and projects for the holiday seasons, predicted that Halloween spending will reach $12.2 billion, exceeding the 2023 record of $10.6 billion.
