Robinson was stabbed multiple times and shot to death inside St. Mary’s Park near 145 St in the Mott Haven section of the Bronx.

Twenty-six years later, Robinson’s family and detectives are still desperately trying to find his killers.

Robinson’s older brother Russell Robinson, said not a day goes by that he does not think about his brother.

Russell said, “He was a good dude who knew what he wanted out of life, it’s just devastating to my whole family.”

Police said, that the night Robinson was killed there was a large party in the park but so far they have not had any luck with anyone coming forward with information.

The lead NYPD detective on the case is Robert Klein, he and Robinson never met but the two were in boot camp at the same time. Klein said the case is personal to him. Det. Klein said “I look at him as one of my guys and we have adopted the mantra in the office we need to bring “Solo” home.”

Over the years the family mourned his death, his parents passed away not knowing how they killed their son. The NYPD now has help from the FBI in the case, both agencies are putting more resources up including a higher reward for any information leading to an arrest.

Special Agent in Charge, Spencer Horn said ” We want to bring some closure to this family, it’s important we find those perpetrators to get justice.”

Submit tips to police by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477), visiting crimestoppers.nypdonline.org , downloading the NYPD Crime Stoppers mobile app, or texting 274637 (CRIMES) then entering TIP577. Spanish-speaking callers are asked to dial 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
