    List: Street closures across NYC as Trick-or-Streets returns

    NEW YORK (PIX11) – The countdown to Halloween has officially kicked off in New York City with the start of Trick-or-Streets.

    The Department of Transportation will shut down streets across the five boroughs throughout the month of October. There will be more than 100 car-free events in the Big Apple this month alone, according to the DOT.

    Here’s where and when some of the events will be held:

    Saturday, Oct. 5

    • Staten Island: Castleton Avenue, Regan Avenue to Bement Avenue from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
    • Queens: Woodside Avenue, 72nd Street to 79th Street from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

    Sunday, Oct. 6

    • Brooklyn: BQ Flea on Meeker Avenue (under BQE), Lorimer Street to Union Avenue from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

    Sunday, Oct. 13

    • Brooklyn: BQ Flea on Meeker Avenue (under BQE), Lorimer Street to Union Avenue from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

    Friday, Oct. 18

    • Bronx: Mount Hope Place, Morris Avenue to Walton Avenue from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

    Saturday, Oct. 19

    • Manhattan: Gansevoort Plaza, Little West 12th Street from Gansevoort Street to 9th Avenue from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
    • Manhattan: 34th Annual Tompkins Square Halloween Dog Parade on East 9th Street, Avenue A to Avenue B from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.
    • Brooklyn: Kensington Plaza, Beverley Road from Church Avenue to East 2nd Street from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
    • Brooklyn: Chauncey Street Open Street, Howard Avenue to Saratoga Avenue from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.

    Sunday, Oct. 20

    • Brooklyn: BQ Flea on Meeker Avenue (under BQE), Lorimer Street to Union Avenue from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
    • Brooklyn: Tompkins Avenue Open Street, Gates Avenue to Halsey Street from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.

    Saturday, Oct. 26

    • Manhattan: Audubon Avenue Open Street, West 165th Street to West 166th Street from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
    • Bronx: Fordham Plaza, Webster Avenue to Washington Avenue from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.
    • Brooklyn: West 9th Street Open Streets, Henry Street to Hicks Street from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.

    Sunday, Oct. 27

    • Brooklyn: Berry Street Open Street, South 3rd Street to South 6th Street from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.

    Wednesday, Oct. 30

    • Queens: 165th Street Open Street, Jamaica Avenue to 89th Avenue from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

    Thursday, Oct. 31

    • Manhattan: Pell Street Open Street + Doyers Plaza, Mott Street to Bowery from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.
    • Bronx: Decatur Avenue Open Street, East 193rd Street to East 195th Street from 2:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
    • Queens: 31st Avenue Open Street, 33rd Street to 35th Street from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
