    NEW YORK (PIX11) — As Mayor Eric Adams continues to deny any wrongdoings after he was indicted on federal criminal charges , his administration is in turmoil as many top aides and officials have either resigned or been fired.

    Several of the aides were caught up in separate federal investigations. From raided homes to seized phones, here is the list of individuals who have stepped down or been fired.

    Sheena Wright – Deputy Mayor – resigned Oct. 7, 2024

    • Wright is married to NYC Schools Chancellor David Banks.
    • Wright and Banks had their home they shared raided in September.
    • Wright notified people she would be resigning because she was unhappy with how her now-husband, Schools Chancellor David Banks, was pushed aside, according to sources.

    Rana Abbasova – director of protocol for international affairs – fired Oct. 7, 2024

    • Abbasova served as Adams’ liaison to the Turkish community dating back to his time as Brooklyn borough president.
    • She was on unpaid leave after her home was raided last fall by federal agents. Abbasova was reportedly cooperating with the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

    Winnie Greco – liaison to the Chinese American community – resigned Oct. 7, 2024

    • A probe opened in November after a local news outlet, The City , reported that she tried to improperly benefit from her post through a nonprofit she ran.
    • Prosecutors raided two homes that she owned.
    • Greco is also accused of asking Adams’ campaign volunteer to help renovate her kitchen, in exchange for help getting a government position.

    Mohamed Bahi – Community Affairs – resigned Oct. 7, 2024

    • Bahi, who served as the community affairs liaison in Adams’ administration, resigned and was arrested on Tuesday.
    • He is accused of telling a businessman and campaign donors to lie to the FBI in June and deleting an encrypted messaging app from his cellphone in July as FBI agents were executing a search warrant at his home.

    Timothy Pearson – Senior Advisor – resigned Oct. 4, 2024

    • Pearson had his Long Island home raided by federal agents who reportedly seized cellphones, documents, and cash. He stepped down one week later.

    David Banks – School Chancellor – resigning on Oct. 16, 2024

    • David Banks is the husband of Deputy Mayor Sheena Wright and the brother of Deputy Mayor for Public Safety Philip Banks III.
    • Banks and Wright had their home raided in September.
    • He announced he would retire in December but is now stepping down on Oct. 16.

    Philip Banks III – Deputy Mayor for Public Safety – stepping down

    • Banks is the brother of Schools Chancellor David Banks. He was appointed deputy mayor for public safety in January 2022.
    • He served 28 years with the NYPD and was the chief of the department from 2013-2014.
    • Banks had his home raided in September.

    Lisa Zornberg – Chief Counsel – Sept. 14, 2024

    • Zornberg was the top legal advisor to Adams but not his personal lawyer. She had been in her position since July 2023.

    Edward Caban – NYPD Commissioner – resigned on Sept. 12, 2024

    • Caban, the 46th police commissioner, had his home raided and his phones seized. He resigned one week later.
    • Tom Donlon took over the position and his home was raided shortly after.
    Eric Adams’s future in question as legal woes threaten to mount

    Anthony Saccavino – FDNY Fire Prevention Chief  – indicted, and retired from FDNY

    • Saccavino allegedly reaped more than $190,000 in bribes between 2021 and 2023.
    • His home was raided in February.

    Brian Cordasco – FDNY Fire Prevention Chief  – indicted, and retired from FDNY

    • Cordasco pleaded guilty on Oct. 8 to bribery charges related to a $190,000 scheme that traded FDNY favors for cash .
    • Like Saccavino, Cordasco allegedly reaped more than $190,000 in bribes between 2021 and 2023.
    • Cordasco’s home was raided in February.

    Eric Ulrich – Buildings Commissioner and Senior Advisor – indicted and resigned

    • He and six co-defendants were arraigned on conspiracy charges related to a series of bribery schemes.

    Raymond Martin – Coordinator, nightlife office – Fired

    • Martin was fired the same day Commissioner Edward Caban resigned .
    • He allegedly extorted or attempted to extort bar owners to hire James Caban as a consultant in exchange for better police treatment.

    Dam near EVERYBODY! They are either running because they don't want to be investigated or they are distancing themselves from the possible fallout. You know what they say when the Rats start leaving the ship, right? It means the ship may be sinking. I'll wait and see how this all plays out.

    Better to resign..., than be removed / fired or prosecuted in court then sent to prison...., I guess.
