    ‘Let’s go’: Mets fans party before playoff game in Queens

    QUEENS (PIX11) – A welcome home celebration started before the big game on Tuesday.

    Mets fans gathered outside Citi Field before the gates opened for a block party.

    They’re ready for anything, as it has been an exciting season with late-in-the-game wins.

    Mets fans want the supporters of the team from Philadelphia to be prepared.

    “Not in our house,” chanted a group of fans waiting who entered the stadium.

    Citi Field is ready for a reunion.

    The organization hosted a watch party for the game in Philadelphia.

    Some people lined up early and welcomed Brandon Nimmo to the ballpark. The outfielder greeted fans and signed some autographs.

    Dave and his son Brady came from New Jersey.

    “He’s trying to experience a winning season with the Mets. Let’s go, Mets!” he said.

    Another block party will be held Wednesday beginning at 1:30 p.m.

    Gates open at 2:30 p.m. for the game at 5 p.m.
