    Driver attacked with metal pipe after car crash in Brooklyn: NYPD

    BEDFORD-STUYVESANT, Brooklyn (PIX11) — Police are searching for a suspect in connection to an assault that happened on Friday, Sept. 13.

    The incident happened around 12:40 p.m. around Flushing and Tompkins Avenue.

    Police say a vehicle stopped abruptly, causing the car behind it to collide.

    After the collision, an unknown individual attacked the driver of the second vehicle with a metal pipe, hitting them multiple times, according to the NYPD. The 64-year-old victim suffered lacerations to the head and arm.

    The victim drove himself to NYC Health and Hospitals/Woodhull.

    The attacker then fled in the first vehicle south on Tompkins Avenue, police say. The NYPD released the following photos of the vehicle.
