Two face kidnapping charges after burglary on Long Island: police

NEW HYDE PARK, Long Island (PIX11) — Two men were arrested following a burglary at a motorcycle dealer in New Hyde Park on Tuesday, Aug. 13.

The incident happened at the Gold Coast Motorsports at 2070 Jericho Turnpike around 4:25 a.m.

Police say Tristan Livingston, 27, and Justin St. Hill, 27, broke into the dealer and stole five motorcycles valued at around $125K.

A 75-year-old man was walking his dog at the time of the burglary. Livingston and Hill attacked the man, and threatened and restrained him, not allowing him to leave, police say.

The victim was able to escape after struggling with the suspects, police say.

The two were located in Brooklyn on Tuesday, Oct. 8, and taken into custody by the Nassau County Police Department’s Major Case Squad and members of the New York and New Jersey U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force.

They were arraigned on charges of burglary, kidnapping, and assault. Police say both have a criminal history and have been arrested in the past.
