    Suspect sentenced for stabbing man protecting girlfriend: Queens DA

    JAMAICA, Queens (PIX11) – A man was sentenced to 10 years in jail after stabbing a man who tried to defend his girlfriend.

    Rahlik Pinnock, 35, pleaded guilty to first-degree assault to the Queens District Attorney in September.

    In Feburary 2022, Pinnock attempted to solicit a woman for sex outside a liquor store in Queens. The woman’s boyfriend came to her defense and punched Pinnock after she phoned him.

    When the man and his girlfriend walked back home, Pinnock followed them, chased the man into his backyard, and stabbed him multiple times in his arm and chest.

    Despite being stabbed in his heart and lungs, the man lived thanks to life-saving surgery. His girlfriend also helped police identify Pinnock after she found a shoe left behind near the house.

    Pinnock avoided police for over a year by escaping to Pennsylvania however he was caught in June 2023 and extradited to New York to face charges.
