How much money does NYC Mayor Adams make?

NEW YORK (PIX11) — New York City Mayor Eric Adams is the city’s chief executive officer and the head of more than 40 city agencies.

As such, Adams receives an annual salary of $258,750, according to open data sourcing .

Before taxes, that is approximately:

• $21,562.50 monthly
• $4,975 weekly
• $708.90 per day

“He is responsible for managing the city’s relations with federal, state, and local governing entities,” the NYC Green Book website states, in part. “The mayor has powers and responsibilities relating to land use and city contracts and collaborates with city, state, and federal agencies responsible for the city’s economic development and infrastructure.”

Adams also acts as an “ex officio,” or a person entitled to specific duties or privileges at some of New York’s iconic institutions. The MoMa, the New York Public Library, and Lincoln Center are just some of those institutions, according to NYC Green Book.

The mayor is also responsible for liaising with other high-ranking officials who deal with pensions and public finance.
