    Woman snatches money from boy, 7, at Bronx bodega: video

    BRONX, N.Y. (PIX11) – A woman snatched money from a 7-year-old boy at a Bronx bodega, surveillance video released by the NYPD on Thursday showed.

    It happened at a Jerome Avenue store around 11:40 a.m. on Sept. 24. The child was attempting to pay for fruit at the store when a woman took his money, police said.

    The woman was seen opening the door to the store and talking to the boy before taking his money, video showed.

    The boy’s mother attempted to stop the woman. The suspect is accused of punching the mother in the face, according to authorities.

    The suspect fled the scene going northbound toward East 170th Street. EMS treated the victim’s mother at the scene.
