Man attacked with stick inside Manhattan subway station; 2 arrested: NYPD

MANHATTAN, N.Y. (PIX11) – Two men were arrested after a fight in a Manhattan subway station early Monday morning, according to the NYPD.

It happened at the Bowery subway station around 1:15 a.m. A 49-year-old man got into a fight with a 33-year-old man, police said.

The 33-year-old man struck the 49-year-old man in the side with a stick, according to authorities. The 49-year-old man was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue.

Both men were arrested and charged with assault. There is no indication that they knew each other prior to the fight, police said.
