Gas station worker stabbed in head, neck in the Bronx: NYPD

SCHUYLERVILLE, the Bronx (PIX11) — A worker is fighting for his life after he was stabbed several times during a confrontation with a robber in a Bronx gas station early Sunday morning, police said.

The suspect was trying to steal multiple items before he allegedly knifed the 25-year-old employee in the head, neck, and arm at the BP gas station at 91 Washington Square in Schuylerville at around 1 a.m., according to the NYPD.

The worker was taken to the hospital and was in critical condition as of Monday morning, police said.

The suspect, approximately 50 years old was dressed in a grey jacket, jeans and red sneakers, and ran off after the incident, according to the NYPD.

The gas station is the neighborhood patrolled by the 49th Precinct, where felony assaults are up 16% this year compared to 2023, according to police crime data.
