    When does daylight saving time end?

    NEW YORK (PIX11) – It’s almost that time of year again for clocks to “fall back” one hour.

    Most Americans will gain an hour of sleep when the clocks are changed. Mornings will be brighter but it will get dark out sooner.

    There has been calls from lawmakers to end daylight saving time in the U.S. Legislators in New York and New Jersey have introduced bills in 2024 to end the practice , but they’ve since stalled.

    When does daylight saving time end?

    Daylight saving time will end on Sunday, Nov. 3 at 2 a.m. It will begin again in March 2025.

    The sun will set before 6 p.m. by the end of October in New York. Sunset is expected at 5:54 p.m. on Halloween night, according to The Old Farmer’s Almanac .

    Hawaii and most of Arizona are the only states that don’t observe daylight saving time.
