NEW YORK (PIX11) – JetBlue is making it easier to escape the cold with an island getaway this fall.

For the first time, the airline is providing direct service to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines from John F. Kennedy Airport.

The Caribbean-bound flight is one of two of JetBlue’s newest services. The airline will begin flights to Bonaire in the Netherlands in November.

“This fall, we are excited to introduce Bonaire and St. Vincent and the Grenadines to our network as part of our strategy to serve underserved routes and our emphasis on adding flying into top leisure destinations,” said David Jehn, the vice president of network planning and airline partnerships at JetBlue.

Round-trip service to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines runs on Wednesdays and Sundays. The new trip makes JetBlue the first U.S.-based airline to provide service from JFK to St. Vincent.

Flights to Bonaire will begin Nov. 5 and will operate on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
