It’s the last day to register to vote in NJ ahead of Election Day 2024

NEW JERSEY (PIX11) – With the 2024 presidential election fast approaching, Tuesday is the last day to register to vote in New Jersey.

New Jersey voter registration closes 21 days before the election, Oct. 15. To check if you’re already registered, click here .

Voter registration is available online via a digital form that requires a valid driver’s license, ID card or social security number. You can also fill out a paper registration form and turn it into county election officials. To find your local county officials, click here .

There’s still time to register for a mail-in ballot in New Jersey , which can be done via the local county clerk. Mail-in ballots must be requested by Oct. 29 in New Jersey and sent back by Election Day.

Starting on Oct. 26, registered voters can vote early at in-person polling centers.

Only a few weeks remain before New Jersey voters weigh in on federal, state and local elections, including a U.S. Senate seat left open by Sen. Bob Menendez , who resigned in August, and all 12 congressional seats in the House of Representatives.
