NEW YORK (PIX11) – If you’re looking to work in New York City government but are worried that you’ll need to take a civil service exam to apply, you’re in luck; many entry-level jobs don’t require one.

You can use the JobsNYC portal to find positions that don’t ask you to take the civil service exam . You’ll see a note on job listings that says “no exam required” or “exam may be required.”
