    NYC fall festivals you don’t want to miss in October

    NEW YORK (PIX11) – If the chill in the air is inspiring you to get outside and do some fall activities, New York City is hosting many festivals and events this October.

    Here are some happening around the Big Apple:

    Things To Do Around NYC

    Friday, Oct. 18:

    HallowScream Fall Festival and Fright Wall

    • Location: Fitness room at J. Hood Wright Recreation Center in Manhattan
    • Time: 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
    • Price: Free to the public
    • What to expect: An interactive haunted house with games and inflatables. Wearing a costume is encouraged!

    NYC Parks Presents: Fall Festival

    • Location: Asphalt Field in Allerton Playground in the Bronx
    • Time: 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
    • Price: Free to the public
    • What to expect: Family games, sports, fall crafts and more.

    Saturday, Oct. 19:

    NYC Parks Presents: Fall Festival

    • Location: The entrance at Lafayette Avenue and Morrison Avenue in Soundview Park in the Bronx
    • Time: 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
    • Price: Free to the public
    • What to expect: Family games, sports, fall crafts and more.

    Dyckman Farmhouse Museum Fall Festival

    • Location: 4881 Broadway at West 204th St. in Manhattan
    • Time: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
    • Price: Free to the public
    • What to expect: Live music, games, arts and crafts, a paint and sip activity, cider pressing, art exhibitions, snacks and more!

    Sound & Color! Autumn in New York

    • Location: Pier 6 in Brooklyn Bridge Park
    • Time: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
    • Price: Free to the public
    • What to expect: A pumpkin patch, live music, food vendors, activities for kids, arts and crafts, field games and more.

    Juniper Valley Park Fall Festival

    • Location: Juniper Valley Park in Queens
    • Time: 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
    • Price: Free to the public
    • What to expect: Halloween activities that include inflatables, crafts, games, music, pumpkin picking and more. You’re encouraged to wear a costume!

    • Location: Wayanda Park in Queens
    • Time: 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
    • Price: Free to the public
    • What to expect: Inflatables, crafts, games, music, pumpkin picking and more. You’re encouraged to wear a costume!

    NYC Parks Presents: Fall Festival

    • Location: Loreto Playground at Morris Park Avenue and Van Nest Avenue in the Bronx
    • Time: 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
    • Price: Free to the public
    • What to expect: Family games, sports, fall crafts and more.

    Throughout October

    Boo at the Zoo

    • Location: Bronx Zoo
    • Dates: Every Saturday and Sunday through Oct. 27.
    • Price: Tickets start at $37.75 for adults and $28.75 for children over the age of 3. Children that are 2 years old or younger get in for free and seniors get a discount.
    • What to expect: A Halloween maze, face painting, the Creepy Crawly Mystery Wall, karaoke and more!

    Halloween Harvest

    • Location: Luna Park in Coney Island
    • Date: Held through Oct. 27.
    • Price: Ticket prices start at $54.99 if you’re over 4′ and $44.99 if you’re under 4′.
    • What to expect: Pumpkin picking and decorating, tractor racing, trick-or-treating, amusement rides and more!

    OktoberFest NYC

    • Location: The Watermark at 78 South St. in Manhattan
    • Time: Times vary depending on the day. Open seven days a week through Oct. 27.
    • Price: General admission is free, but there are fast passes and VIP tickets available for purchase.
    • What to expect: Authentic German beer, bratwurst, pretzels, games, photo moments and more.

    Stone Street Oktoberfest

    • Location: Stone Street in Manhattan
    • Time: 12 p.m. to 11 p.m. every Saturday through Oct. 26.
    • Price: Free to the public
    • What to expect: Stein-holding contests, a game lounge tent, a 360-degree photo booth, live music, beer, pretzels, wurst and more!
