Tompkins Square Halloween Dog Parade: What to know

EAST VILLAGE, Manhattan (PIX11) – Get ready for the cutest parade in New York City this weekend.

The annual Tompkins Square Halloween Dog Pa r ade returns on Saturday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.  After parading through the park, the best-dressed pooches will compete for “Best in Show.”

Here’s what to know about this year’s parade:

What is the dog parade route?

Pups and their owners will walk along Avenue A from 13th Street to 7th Street in Manhattan.

How to participate in the dog parade?

If you want to walk in the parade you can head to Avenue B and 13th Street to get a bracelet. The waiting line to join starts at 12 p.m.

Can I attend the parade even if I don’t have a dog?

Anyone can watch the Tompkins Square Halloween Dog Parade along the parade route even if you don’t have a dog.

How much does it cost to attend?

The Tompkins Square Halloween Dog Parade is free to participate and attend.
