FAIRFIELD, N.J. (PIX11) – A New Jersey man is accused of practicing dentistry without a license and sexually assaulting a patient during a visit, the Essex County prosecutors office announced on Friday.

Police responded to a 911 call on Monday regarding a sexual assault at 363 Route 46 in Fairfield. The woman said her dentist had sexually assaulted her.

The dentist, 31-year-old Jonathan Colombo, provided discounted dental veneers, which he had marketed on social media under the Instagram handles “newyoudental” and “newyousmiles,” prosecutors said.

After communicating with Colombo over social media, the victim agreed on a price and made an appointment on Monday, officials said. The victim said Colombo assaulted her after the procedure.

Colombo’s name does not appear on the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs list of licensed dentists . He was charged with practicing dentistry without a license, according to court documents.
