Plain Dealing Water System under precautionary boil advisory

    By Staff Reports,

    2024-07-24

The Plain Dealing Water System in Bossier Parish is issuing a precautionary system wide boil advisory for all water customers.

Plain Dealing maintenance crews responded to an emergency water main blowout at approximately 11:00 a.m. on July 24, near the intersection of S. Calhoun and E. Carolina Ave. The eight inch water main was struck by a contractor doing work in the area. Maintenance crews were unable to isolate and valve down the area. As a result, many Plain Dealing water customers may have lost water pressure while the water main was under repair. Work is expected to be complete by 4:00 pm.

This is a precautionary measure not a boil order and only for water being consumed.
