PLAINFIELD, Conn. (WTNH) — A man was taken to the hospital after being thrown from his scooter this morning in Plainfield.

The Plainfield Police Department says that around 5:18 a.m., a 32-year-old man was traveling North on Norwich Rd. on his 2006 Geely Scooter. The investigation determined the operator went off the roadway and hit a curb before going “airborne” and landing on the side of the road.

The man was taken to William W. Backus Hospital for suspected serious injuries.

Plainfield police continue to investigate this crash, and anyone with information is asked to call the department at 860-564-0804.
