    Suspect at large after stabbing man at Conn. gas station

    PLAINFIELD, Conn. (WTNH) — A suspect fled the scene after stabbing a 32-year-old man in the leg at a Plainfield gas station on Thursday afternoon.

    According to a release, the Plainfield Police Department responded to the report of a stabbing at Morgan Trucking shortly before 1 p.m. At the scene, police identified and emergency personnel treated the victim, who was stabbed in the leg.

    From there, the victim was transported to William Backus Hospital in Norwich for further treatment.

    An investigation determined that the altercation originated at the Gulf Station at 309 Putnam Road, which is about seven miles west of the Rhode Island border.

    Police said the suspect then pursued the victim, who fled to Morgan Trucking to seek help for his injuries.

    The suspect fled the scene shortly after. The incident is currently under investigation and is believed to be isolated.
