PLAINFIELD, NJ — For around 15 minutes on Thursday morning, a New Jersey State Police Helicopter circled the area in and around Cedar Brook Park in Plainfield, cruising at around 500 feet. The helicopter was spotted at around 11:30am.

According to publicly available flight information, the helicopter took off at Pulaski Park, in Passaic, NJ, around 24 miles from the center of the flight's path over Plainfield.

The helicopter was in town to visit and do a demonstration for the Queen City Mentoring Academy , a four-week day camp that was established in 2014 for Plainfield residents who will enter 6th through 8th grades. TAPinto Plainfield will report on the training.
