    Luzerne County man allegedly uses Kik for child porn

    PLAINS, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A Luzerne County man was arrested after police say child pornography material was sent through a social media app.

    According to the criminal complaint, in February of 2024, officials received a Cybertip of suspected child pornography that was generated through a company known as Kik Messenger.

    Officials several videos containing child pornography were uploaded and reported by Kik Messenger.

    As stated in court documents officials located 23-year-old Connor Issac Lee at a home on Williams Street in Plains.

    Upon arrival, investigators say Lee admitted to using Kik to receive, exchange, and spread child pornography material. Officials note he also admitted to being added to a Kik group messenger where users exchange that material.

    Lee stated to officers that he knew possessing and spreading this kind of material was illegal and that it would eventually catch up with him, as noted by officials.

    Lee has a preliminary hearing for August 14 with unsecured bail set at $25,000.
