Series evens in 6-2 Omaha loss to Saints
SAINT PAUL, MN. – The Omaha Storm Chasers dropped the second of a six-game series to the Saint Paul Saints, losing 6-2 Wednesday afternoon at CHS Field. For the second straight game, the Saints got on the board first and jumped out to a 4-0 lead off Omaha starting pitcher Anthony Veneziano, tagging the left-hander for four runs on seven hits over the first three innings of the game.
Dannen Talks About Grass Field for Memorial Stadium
INDIANAPOLIS–(KFOR July 24)–Nebraska’s Memorial Stadium hasn’t had a natural grass field since 1970, and in a few years it looks like natural grass will be returning. Nebraska Athletic Director Troy Dannen spoke about the subject with reporters at Big Ten Football Media Days in Indianapolis on Wednesday, saying and explained how head coach Matt Rhule was a big part of this decision.
Nebraska football to host 2026 QB Dayton Raiola this weekend
A class of 2026 recruit is heading to Lincoln for a visit this weekend. Quarterback Dayton Raiola, brother of current Husker Dylan Raiola, is coming to Nebraska on July 27. Dayton received an offer from Nebraska during his freshman year at Chandler High School in Arizona in 2022. He also received offers from Appalachian State and Charlotte in January 2024. Dayton now enters his junior year at Buford High School in Georgia, preparing to play on the varsity level for the first time.
