The Heritage Farmstead Museum is a collection of original homes with unique historical stories to tell of local characters who lived in the Plano area, to begin shaping what it is today. It’s also a working farm, with animals, pretty gardens, and a great spot for Birthday Parties, Camps, and annual events like the Holiday Lights on the Farmstead.

It’s located on a 4.5-acre farm complex off 15th Street and serves over 4,000 visitors annually.

A great time to visit is during the Winter season, when they host thousands of twinkling light exhibits, let you visit with Santa and enjoy the spirit of the festive season at night.

Not only is it a working farm with donkeys, pigs, chickens and the like, but they offer self guided and public tours with costumed volunteers, who are expert storytellers!
