Teen driver dies after crash into Kansas City area building
KANSAS CITY—A teen driver died after an accident just before 5a.m. Saturday in Jackson County, Missouri. According to police, a Nissan Altima driven by 18-year-old Joshua Snowbarger was southbound on Noland Road, approaching 35th Street in Independence. The driver lost control of the car. It traveled off the road and struck a nearby business.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - The Kansas City Current will have a two-time NWSL Defender of the Year finalist anchoring their back line when they begin training this week. On Monday, the Current announced they’d acquired Seattle Reign defender Alana Cook in exchange for $40,000 in allocation money and $75,000 in intra-league transfer funds. The Current will exchange an additional $25,000 in intra-league transfer funds if Cook meets certain incentive-based requirements, the club said.
Hy-Vee to host event for small-business owners in Kansas City in September
Hy-Vee Inc. announced that it will host the OpportUNITY Inclusive Business Summit in Kansas City in September. The event aims to provide small business owners with learning opportunities and resources from Hy-Vee and other local business leaders. The summit, which is free and open to the public, will be held Sept.12 at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City.
