Fatal Lawrence Co. crash: motorcyclist’s name released
LAWRENCE COUNTY, S.D. (KELO) — The name has been released of a motorcyclist killed in a one-vehicle crash Tuesday night, 13 miles southwest of Cheyenne Crossing. 53-year-old Kimberly L. Welch, of Rapid City, was driving her Harley Davidson northbound on US 85 near mile marker three, according to the S.D. Department of Public Safety.
Commander fired over B-1 crash report
RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA) - According to a statement released from Air Force Global Strike Command, Ellsworth Air Force Base will be seeing at least one new commander. Col. Mark Kimball, 28th Operations Group commander, was “relieved of command” Friday. The statement says this was due to “a loss of trust and confidence in his ability to command, based on the findings of an Accident Investigation Board report into the Jan. 4 crash.”
