Multiple crashes tie up Tuesday traffic on I-69 southbound
FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Traffic was tied up in the southbound lanes of Interstate 69 Tuesday morning after multiple crashes in northern Allen County. Just before 8 a.m., a crash happened at the 312.8 mile-marker. Dispatch confirmed no injuries were reported. The southbound right lane was temporarily closed, according to the Indiana Department of Transportation.

ANGOLA —Bouncers expelled one patron for fighting at a downtown nightclub early Saturday morning, but he had plenty of fight left. Michael S. Ratajczak, 38, of Howe, was arrested on the Public Square and charged with Class A misdemeanor resisting law enforcement, two counts of Level 6 battery against a public official, Level 6 battery with bodily waste, Class B misdemeanor disorderly conduct and public intoxication and Class A misdemeanor intimidation.
Disaster Loan Outreach Centers Open for Eligible Counties
In northern Indiana, the Indiana Department of Homeland Security says businesses and residents in Porter, Elkhart, and contiguous counties may qualify for low interest disaster loans from the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) following damage incurred from severe storms that occurred July 15, 2024 The SBA and Indiana Department of Homeland Security (IDHS) will operate Disaster Loan Outreach Centers (DLOC) at separate locations in Porter and Elkhart counties to assist residents in filing claims and answering questions regarding potential assistance to recover from damages. These centers are for those impacted by the July 15, 2024, storms only. A news release also said these services are available for residents in the following Indiana counties (additional to Elkhart and Porter): Jasper, Kosciusko, LaGrange, La Porte, Lake, Marshall, Noble, St. Joseph and Starke; and the Michigan counties of Berrien, Cass and St. Joseph.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - Fort Wayne police are investigating after apparent human remains were found at a vacant east side home. The residence, in the 1400 block of Summit Street, was under construction when contractors were shoring up the foundation and located what is believed to be human remains.
