FWPD investigating apparent human bones found near vacant east side house
FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - Fort Wayne police are investigating after apparent human remains were found at a vacant east side home. The residence, in the 1400 block of Summit Street, was under construction when contractors were shoring up the foundation and located what is believed to be human remains.

Living Color Living United 5K was colorful fun Saturday
It was a ton of colored fun Saturday morning with the annual Living Color Living United 5K. Their were 15 color stations laced along the route to ensure everyone got drenched in a rainbow of colors. Suspect injured after breaking and entering
VAN WERT — A suspect was shot early Monday morning in the 1000 block of Pratt Street in Van Wert after breaking into a storage garage. According to Van Wert Police Chief Douglas Weigle, at 12:54 a.m., police received a call of shots fired at the garage. The owner of the garage was inside at the time and said the suspect came within 4 feet of him before he shot him twice in self-defense. The suspect then fled the scene.
